The reconstructive documentary film “Tulpiniai. Lemtinga klaida” tells the story of one of Lithuania’s most brutal criminal gangs – the “Tulpiniai” – and law enforcement’s efforts to stop their activities. The “Tulpiniai’s” precise caution, brutal order, crime planning according to horoscopes and fortune tellers, mutual fear among gang members, and incomprehensibly savage cruelty allowed them to commit sensational crimes until they made a fatal mistake. The film engages like a detective story, showing the challenges law enforcement faced in gathering evidence, solving serious crimes, and bringing the guilty to justice. This is a story not about criminal glory, but about the triumph of justice.
