SUMMARY:Performance "I Didn't Hear You Say It" | "Theatre Up Close"
DESCRIPTION:The second ambitious "Kosmos theatre" production at Raseiniai District Cult
ural Centre will be presented on November 12 at 6 PM. "I Didn't Hear You Sa
y It" is a work by French composer and director Pierre Jodlowski\, in which
a contemporary pianist\, caught between classical music and media\, attemp
ts to communicate with a machine-turned-instrument... "I Didn't Hear You Sa
y It" opens up an entirely different reality: on stage\, a live-playing pia
nist meets an autonomously operating "Disklavier" piano. Gradually\, their
dialogue begins to resemble toxic relationships: as the pianist seeks new p
erformance possibilities and tries to break free\, the machine keeps pullin
g her back to the past\, until the dialogue ultimately turns into a joyful\
, almost ecstatic struggle between human and machine. Performer – pianist
Julija Vingelė (Bagdonavičiūtė). ALL PERFORMANCES OF THE THEATRE PROJE
CT "THEATRE UP CLOSE" ARE FREE OF CHARGE. Events are funded by the Lithuani
an Council for Culture and Raseiniai District Municipality. Free tickets fo
r the event can be reserved at the RRCC box office or by phone +370 630 98
