DESCRIPTION:Klaipėda Culture Communication Center (KKKC) led by renowned watercolor pa
 inter Liuda Liaudanskaite organizes Seniors' Thursdays for (non)artistic se
 niors. On the last Thursdays of each month\, active seniors travel to exper
 ience culture at Klaipėda's art institutions and beyond. Exhibitions\, eve
 nts\, educational activities\, meetings with famous people\, trips to neigh
 boring cities\, gatherings in cafes and genuine human connections – all o
 f this happens on Seniors' Thursdays in Klaipėda. Watercolor painter Liuda
  Liaudanskaite\, who founded this initiative\, says that when she retired\,
  she thought she would enjoy complete freedom and unlimited time\, but afte
 r that happened\, she missed commitment to people and especially socializin
 g. Eventually\, encouraged by friends\, she ended up at KKKC administration
  and began gathering seniors for joint cultural activities. "We've been buz
 zing around Klaipėda's cultural life since autumn 2023 without breaks. Bec
 ause exhibitions don't take holidays!" says Liuda. According to her\, exhib
 itions often transform into educational activities and conversations in caf
 es. "Some people dropped out\, but a core group of about 10 people remained
 . We've all become close\, know a lot about each other\, and bring our frie
 nds." Mostly women participate\, but some seniors also come\, accompanying 
 their ladies\, or on their own. People come from various walks of life: not
  only artists\, but also a pharmacist\, an accountant\, a sailor's wife who
  started painting after retirement\, a poet's widow. Seniors share recommen
 dations about cinema\, theater\, and literature\, exchange plants\, celebra
 te birthdays – traditions are emerging. During summer there will be no br
 eaks and seniors will continue to meet on the last Thursday of each month a
 t KKKC Exhibition Halls around 11–12 a.m. (time is adjusted each time by
