SUMMARY:We Sing Justinas Marcinkevičius. Vinyl Record Presentation
DESCRIPTION:The closing concert of the VII International Rimvydas Žigaitis Arts Festiv
 al\, dedicated to World Culture Day. We invite you to a warm and meaningful
  musical evening dedicated to one of Lithuania's brightest poets – Justin
 as Marcinkevičius. The concert will feature songs created based on his poe
 ms – both well-known and beloved by audiences\, as well as less frequentl
 y heard or entirely new ones\, created by the composers Galina Savinienė\,
  Giedrius Kuprevičius\, Benjaminas Gorbulskis\, Gintautas Tautkus\, Laimis
  Vilkončius and other authors. For more than two decades\, we have continu
 ally returned to the works of Justinas Marcinkevičius in our concerts\, so
  this evening will be not only a journey through music\, but also through p
 ersonal memories and reflections. We will share thoughts about the poet\, t
 he meaning of his work and its place in our lives\, about how his verses ha
 ve matured in our hearts and on stage over many years of shared experience 
 with listeners. Singer Liudas Mikalauskas conveys J. Marcinkevičius’s po
 etry with exceptional sensitivity and persuasiveness\, while pianist Beata 
 Vingraitė has been connected to the poet’s work by a close bond that beg
 an in childhood. This fellowship gives the concert a special sincerity and 
 authenticity. Marking the fifteenth anniversary of the poet’s passing\, w
 e have released a vinyl record featuring songs created solely from Justinas
  Marcinkevičius’s texts. During the concert we will not only present thi
 s special release to Lithuanian listeners\, but also invite everyone to onc
 e again hear the poet’s words\, which even today speak of human beings\,
