BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO celebrates 50 YEARS OF FOUNDING JUBILEE!

Dear friends, announcing the phenomenon of BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO in a small space is an impossible task! Here are the facts: • 1976 – the group was founded • First group members: ALVIDAS TAUTKUS, GINTAUTAS TAUTKUS, ANTANAS MORKEVIČIUS, ARŪNAS ARMONAS, ROMAS UŽUSIENIS. • July 16, 1984 – the Ministry of Culture granted the group the status of a non-staff philharmonic collective and confirmed the name ”RONDO”. Repertoire: FIELD FLOWER; CINDERELLA; THIRD SIGH, LITHUANIA, DUBYSOS CHILDREN; MARGARITA; ŽALGIRI; EGLE, MY SISTER; NESTLE; WORDS; ETERNAL WAITING and many others. Here are the reviews: Our hearts’ group … Nation’s singers … Wonderful, eternal songs … Very patriotic song texts … The very best Lithuanian group of all times … and so on. But – in truth …. BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO – is a group with an incomparable history of creation and formation. With numerous artists who grew in the group, developed bringing many colors to the group’s activities. With complex censorship episodes. With the group’s activity closure – reopening. In total, over 50 different people have participated in the group’s activities. It is a patriotic group, Lithuania’s heralds, whose mere name heard stirs passions, even today! Everyone welcomes that ”RONDO”, everyone needs it. This is neither much nor little in the case – just that it was a talented creation that will remain eternal, no matter how anyone wants to distort historical facts, no matter how anyone tries to organize the most popular hundreds of Lithuanian songs – BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO cannot be erased from people’s memory! People know WHO IS WHO. ABOUT THE CONCERT: So – the first members of BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO gathered and decided to commemorate the group’s 50-year founding Jubilee. For the jubilee concert, they selected a repertoire spanning from 1978 to 1988 (which includes all the songs mentioned above). Then they turned to composer, arranger, producer RAIGARDAS TAUTKUS, so that the mentioned songs would sound not only the same as 50 years ago, but also new, fresh, so that for today’s audience they would be familiar and acceptable. And so it happened. However, RAIGARDAS also added the CHAMPAGNE KAUNAS CHOIR to the program and then the concert became even more magnificent and impressive. If we’re being honest – the concert became so impressive that after it, the audience doesn’t even think of leaving, demanding to repeat it again and again. Not to mention that throughout the entire concert, the audience applauds, sings along, and by the end – everyone is already dancing!!!
