BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO celebrates 50th ANNIVERSARY OF FOUNDING

Dear friends, announcing the BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO phenomenon in a small space – an impossible task!

Here are the facts:

-In 1976 the group was formed

-First group members: ALVIDAS TAUTKUS, GINTAUTAS TAUTKUS, ANTANAS MORKEVIČIUS, ARŪNAS ARMONAS, ROMAS UŽUSIENIS.

-On July 16, 1984, the Ministry of Culture granted the group the status of a non-staff philharmonic collective and confirmed the name ”RONDO”.

FIELD FLOWERS; CINDERELLA; THIRD SIGH, LITHUANIA, DUBYSOS CHILDREN; MARGARITA; ŽALGIRI; EGLE, MY SISTER; SNUGGLE UP; WORDS; ETERNAL WAITING and many others.

But – in truth ….

BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO – is a group with a unique history of creation and formation.

With many artists who grew in the group, developed, bringing many colors to the group’s activities. With complicated censorship episodes. With the group’s activities closing – opening. In general, over 50 different people have participated in the group’s activities. This is a patriotic group, Lithuania’s heralds, whose very name being heard stirs passions, even today! Everyone craves this ”RONDO”, everyone needs it. This is neither much nor little in the case – only that this was a talented creation that will remain forever, no matter how anyone would like to distort historical facts, no matter how anyone would try to organize the most popular Lithuanian song hundreds – BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO cannot be erased from people’s memory! People know WHO IS WHO.

ABOUT THE CONCERT

So – the first BROTHERS TAUTKUS RONDO members gathered and decided to commemorate the group’s 50th anniversary of founding.

For the jubilee concert, they selected a repertoire that reaches back to the very beginning from 1978 to 1988 (which includes all the songs mentioned above)

Then they turned to composer, arranger, producer RAIGARDAS TAUTKUS, so that the mentioned songs would sound not only the same as they did 50 years ago, but also new, fresh, so that for today’s audience they would be familiar and acceptable.

And so it happened. However, RAIGARDAS also added the CHAMPAGNE KAUNAS CHOIR to the program and then the concert became even more magnificent and impressive.

If I’m being honest – the concert became so impressive that after the concert, the audience doesn’t even think of leaving, demanding to repeat and repeat again. Not to mention that throughout the concert, the audience applauds, sings along, and by the end – everyone is already dancing!!!

It’s so dear, so beautiful, that you want to hug everyone and thank them – for coming, for remembering, for still loving!
