The legendary comedy „Urvinis žmogus“ is beginning a new chapter! From now on, audiences will be able to see the newest staging of the play with actor Tomas Rinkūnas, directed by Mantas Vaitiekūnas. This will be a new directorial approach, a new interpretation, and a completely different sound of the legendary comedy. If you have already seen „Urvinis žmogus“, we invite you to rediscover it. And if you have not seen it yet – do not miss the chance to see both versions. These are two distinct one-man shows in which two talented actors tell the legendary story in completely different ways. On stage, you will still be able to see the audience-favorite version of „Urvinis žmogus“ created by Paulius Valaskevičius, directed by Dainius Kazlauskas. The comedy „Urvinis žmogus“ was first staged on Broadway in 1996 and became the longest-running one-man show in Broadway history. Later, the play spread throughout the world and was staged in more than 30 countries. „Urvinis žmogus“ explores a theme that never goes out of fashion – relationships between men and women. Why can men not do several things at once? Why do women get angry about the bathroom mirror being splashed again? Why, after so many years, do we still argue about the same things? „Men and women often see the world in different languages and express feelings differently. But it is not the differences that separate us, it is the inability to understand them. When we learn to accept one another not as enemies, but as different fellow travelers, differences become not a problem, but a strength.“ – Tomas Rinkūnas

Witty everyday situations, sharp observations, and humor allow both men and women to recognize themselves. The world changes, but relationship questions remain the same – from the times of the cave man to today. In Lithuania, „Urvinis žmogus“ was first performed in 2005 and over two decades became a true theater legend – it has been staged more than 1000 times in different Lithuanian cities. During this time, the main character has been portrayed by Dainius Kazlauskas, Kostas Smoriginas, Darius Meškauskas, Vaidotas Martinaitis and Giedrius Savickas. The performance is created in cooperation with Theater Mogul.
