The now cult classic “Striptease Eagles” tells the story of six unemployed men from a small town in Lithuania suffering from unemployment. Bored day after day of sitting on benches with no greater purpose, one of the friends comes up with an idea on how to find activity and earn money: the friends decide to become striptease dancers… It is no surprise that the beginning of this “new career” demands immense willpower and threatens a long-standing friendship.

This play, based on the work of playwrights Stephen Sinclair and Anthony McCarten’s script “Ladies Night”, was first performed in 1987 in New Zealand – it has become the most profitable play in the history of world theater. The play has been translated into twelve languages and in 1990 and 1994 the play became the most popular tourist production in England. The hugely successful English film “Striptease Eagles” (The Full Monty), which premiered in 1997, also made its way into the list of best-selling films worldwide in 2006.
