EUROPEAN HERITAGE AT ZYPLIAI MANOR: FROM THE PAST TO THE FUTURE September 26–27 | Zyplių dvaras Imagine a weekend when the manor doors open not only to visitors, but also to stories. When the manor ladies appear again in the palace, restorers speak about how the past was saved, music sounds in the Berlin poplar alley, and old recipes and manor traditions return to the present. On September 26–27 at Zyplių dvaras, we will invite you not only to see heritage, but to experience it. One of the most important highlights of the weekend will be the outdoor photography exhibition “Išnykęs ir sugrąžintas” , opening in the Berlyninių tuopų alėjoje. Archival and contemporary views of Zyplių dvaras will meet here in one space and allow you to see how the manor changed, declined, and was brought back to new life. It is a kind of journey through time – an opportunity to look at the same manor places then and now. There will be more living experiences as well – stories from restorers about the manor’s rebirth, meetings with the manor ladies, a manor picnic “Skambanti alėja” with music by guitar virtuoso Rokas Jurkus, the educational program “Fazanų medžioklė”, a lesson in manor dances, and a journey through the manor vineyard. And the manor kitchen restaurant “Kuchmistrai” will invite you to taste zacirka – a dish from old recipes, likely dating back to the times of the last owner of Zyplių dvaras, Count Tomas Potockis, brought back into today’s cuisine. Perhaps for a moment you will feel like a guest in Count T. Potockis’s manor, and the next moment you will see how that same heritage lives today. Two days when the past becomes not a memory, but a living experience. We invite you to meet on September 26–27 at Zyplių dvaras and together look at heritage – from the past to the future. In case of unfavorable weather conditions, outdoor events will be moved to Zyplių dvaro rūmai or Arklidžių galerija.
