A company of long-time friends gathers around a common dinner table, unaware that this evening will change their relationships forever. When one of the friends suggests a game, everyone puts their phones on the table and agrees to publicly share every incoming message and call. At first it seems like just a fun joke – after all, everyone is convinced they have nothing to hide. However, the evening soon takes an unexpected turn: each new message reveals carefully guarded secrets, untold truths and secret relationships. By the end of the evening, it becomes clear that no relationship will remain as it was. “(Im)Perfect Liars” is a story about friendship, love, secrets and the price of truth. The film raises the question of how well we really know the people closest to us – and how prepared we are to find out about them.
