This year, the Kazys Binkis Theatre at the Kaunas Cultural Center celebrates its 90th anniversary! The history of the theatre, which began in 1936, continues to this day — over the decades, the theatre has nurtured creators, staged beloved performances, and preserved the traditions of amateur theatre. On the occasion of the anniversary, the audience can look forward to three performances: “Chilling Events at Pabališkiai Tavern”, “General Rehearsal” and “Randor Kvit Or Who is Smarter?” We invite you to meet and celebrate 90 years of creative history together!

“Chilling Events at Pabališkiai Tavern” is a narrative folk-based performance for adults, intertwining ancient wisdom, folk tales, earthly human sins and their consequences. The audience will experience the atmosphere of a 19th-century Lithuanian tavern, filled with wonders, shivers, and good laughter.

Every winter, Pabališkiai Tavern is haunted by devils. This time, the devil Sidabranosis intends to kidnap the tavern keeper’s daughter and take her to the glades. Unfortunately, he did not foresee that everything could take a completely different turn… Especially if it’s a full moon?
