Poetic Performance “Circle of Life”

2026 m. October 20 at 5 PM in the conference hall of Utena A. and M. Miškinius Public Library, the poetic performance “Circle of Life” by actors Balys Ivanauskas and Artūras Dubakas will take place, based on the works of Lithuanian poets and autobiographical stories of the actors. We warmly invite everyone! The project is partially funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture ~~~~~ “Circle of Life (Evening O)” – this is a poetic performance by actors Balys Ivanauskas and Artūras Dubakas. The letter O encodes our circle of life, just as the poems in this performance are arranged in a composition reminiscent of human life. Together with poetry, we will travel from early childhood to slightly childish old age, and even to death. A unique poetic phenomenon from the poems of V. Stankaus, G. Grajauskas, R. Stankevičius, P. Širvys, S. Gedos, D. Grajauskas, J. Mekas, and D. Kajokas, featuring original music, personal stories, and unexpected improvisations. Theater P Our mission is to spread poetry even to those who do not read it and think it is boring. We strive to unlock poetic texts with non-poetic means. We have been creating for over a decade, learning from our experience and discovering ever more attractive ways to present poetry to a demanding audience. Our genre is not a play, not a poetry evening, and not a performance; it’s something in between. We call it the “Poetic Action.”
