Romantic comedy “Dating Games” heroes Ričardas and Džulija recently officially broke up, but their divorce is only a formality on paper. Having spent many years married, the couple remained close friends, sincerely wishing each other happiness in new relationships. However, it soon becomes clear that this is far more complicated than it may seem at first glance… Both begin looking for new partners by going on blind dates. Although dates are a great opportunity to find a significant other, the situation becomes much trickier when you have spent several decades in marriage. Former spouses Ričardas and Džulija are in for colorful, and sometimes even odd, dating partners. Each new encounter increasingly convinces them that the entire world of dating is like one big misunderstanding. Increasingly confused Ričardas and disappointed Džulija would have long since given up on everything if it were not for their constant support for each other. Will their efforts to find love again end in complete fiasco? Or will they succeed after all, and new, beautiful relationships appear in their lives? “Dating Games” is a fun, fast-paced and sharply witty comedy about men’s and women’s attempts to understand each other, fall in love and, if lucky, survive until the second date. There will be plenty of mistakes, unexpected twists, triumphs, fiascos and laughter, because love, like sport, requires endurance, courage and a little luck. The play was created by British playwright Peter Quilter, whose works are staged in more than 40 countries, including Broadway and London’s West End. P. Quilter is one of the most frequently staged contemporary authors in the world, twice nominated for the prestigious Olivier Award (for best new play and best new comedy), and his Broadway debut earned as many as three Tony nominations.
