Film “Danka” and meeting with director Dovilė Gasiūnaitė

Being an adult is difficult. Especially difficult if you are only fifteen years old. Danutė is the only “adult” person in her family. Clearly, for a teenager facing non-childish difficulties every day, this is an overly complex task. At the Tallinn “Black Nights” Film Festival, “Danka” was awarded the Grand Prize of the International Youth Competition Program. Director Dovilė Gasiūnaitė delves into the development of the so-called gifted child, revealing his distinctive vitality, ingenuity and creativity. The recognizable atmosphere of the film creates a sensitive and compelling narrative, in which memorable leading roles are played by non-professional actors, bringing the story even closer to viewers. The film reveals the complex everyday life of vulnerable groups in society, develops attentiveness and empathy for young people growing up in difficult conditions, invites reflection on the challenges facing peers, which fall much closer than may seem at first glance, the importance of friendship and support. Recommended for high school students. Genre: Drama Duration: 104 min. Rating: N13 Directed by: Dovilė Gasiūnaitė Country: Lithuania Language: Lithuanian EVENT IS FREE The post Film “Danka” and meeting with director Dovilė Gasiūnaitė appeared first on Kazlų Rūdos kultūros centras .
