Performance “I Didn’t Hear You Say It” | “Theatre Up Close”

The second ambitious “Kosmos theatre” production at Raseiniai District Cultural Centre will be presented on November 12 at 6 PM. “I Didn’t Hear You Say It” is a work by French composer and director Pierre Jodlowski, in which a contemporary pianist, caught between classical music and media, attempts to communicate with a machine-turned-instrument… “I Didn’t Hear You Say It” opens up an entirely different reality: on stage, a live-playing pianist meets an autonomously operating “Disklavier” piano. Gradually, their dialogue begins to resemble toxic relationships: as the pianist seeks new performance possibilities and tries to break free, the machine keeps pulling her back to the past, until the dialogue ultimately turns into a joyful, almost ecstatic struggle between human and machine. Performer – pianist Julija Vingelė (Bagdonavičiūtė). ALL PERFORMANCES OF THE THEATRE PROJECT “THEATRE UP CLOSE” ARE FREE OF CHARGE. Events are funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and Raseiniai District Municipality. Free tickets for the event can be reserved at the RRCC box office or by phone +370 630 98 498 The post Performance “I Didn’t Hear You Say It” | “Theatre Up Close” appeared first on Raseiniai District Cultural Centre.
