A drama of emotions (with human weaknesses and cleverness) about the eternal need to be loved. Actress Kristina Kazlauskaitė takes on directing once again – the comedy “Three Loves” by Julia Beniuševičiūtė-Žymantienė, better known by her pen name Žemaitė, a classic of Lithuanian literature. The action of the play takes place in a Lithuanian village. A village lad, Liudvikas, uses his charms to simultaneously try to win over three loves – a mother living in one village house and her two daughters. However, his aim is not love but wealth. The young man tries to extract money saved by the mother. Various situations arise – comedy of lies, deception, and seductions – where each of the three women seriously falls in love with Liudvikas. The legendary theater actors will embody vibrant characters in the performance: The role of the Mother is played by actresses Dalia Brenciūtė and Violeta Podolskaitė. Young generation actors Balys Ivanauskas and Artūras Dubaka will share the role of Liudvikas, while the daughters will be played alternately by Redita Dominaitytė and Kristina Savickytė (Petronėlė) and Aistė Lasytė and Veronika Tarasevičiūtė (Domicelė). The farmer Kozeris – Vytautas Taukinaitis and Gediminas Storpirštis. “Three Loves” is one of the works of national drama and remains relevant today. Three women and one man. Deception or sincerity? Love or calculation? Eternal questions that Kristina Kazlauskaitė, using her directorial vision, the talents of the actors, local dialects, and conveying the amplitude of human traits and feelings, will try to answer emotionally, dramatically, and comically. Everyone wants to love and be loved. Liudvikas and his three loves are the perfect example of that.
